Lucky Coins: a puzzle that grew on me fast

I almost skipped Lucky Coins. From the store screenshots it looked like every other tile matcher, and I've reviewed plenty of those. But it's been sitting in airplane mode on my commute phone for two weeks now, so clearly something clicked.

The core idea is sliding stacks of coins around a small grid to line up matches. The twist is the chain system: a well-set-up move can trigger a cascade that clears half the board, and setting those up becomes a small addiction. Once I understood that the game was really about planning cascades, not just clearing tiles, my scores jumped.

Later boards add locked coins and rows that shift after each move, which forces you to think ahead. There's no timer anywhere, so you can take as long as you like. That's what makes it a good offline game — it doesn't punish you for putting the phone down mid-puzzle.

My advice: don't rush the early boards. Use them to learn how cascades form. Once it clicks, Lucky Coins turns from a filler game into something you actually look forward to. It runs completely offline and saves after every move, which is exactly what I want from a pocket puzzler.
