Iron Frontier

Iron Frontier hands you a patch of rough land and a handful of settlers, then asks you to keep them alive through the seasons. You build workshops, route supplies, and defend against raids that come in waves. It's a strategy game you play in bursts, and it saves cleanly between them.

What I appreciated is that it's not real-time panic. Time only moves when you tell it to, so you can plan your whole turn during a coffee break. The economy is tight enough that bad decisions actually cost you, which kept me thinking about it long after I'd closed the app.

No connection required, no constant updates. It's dense, a little unforgiving at first, and very satisfying once the systems click.
